I can now say that I've been to the Heath in three different seasons, I'm just missing spring. And well, I cheated with the winter trip - there was no snow on the ground.
It's just not the same without all the beautiful colors, but it was really neat nonetheless. The blueberry and cranberry bushes were all a muted brown, but the pitch pines were still their brilliant green. I was serendaded by chickadees and saw a few robins, but that was all that stuck around after the frozen boardwalk creaked and groaned under my weight.
I think I'll still try to snowshoe the path after we get some snow.
