Driving along Black Point Road on my way to Prouts Neck, I saw a flash of red out of the corner of my eye. I made a point to slow down on my way back through and I'm glad I did, imagine my surprise when I saw the bittersweet brambles alive with flashes of bright red and deep purple. They were alive with House Finches and Cardinals - more of each than I could count. The Cardinals stayed in the background and were harder to photograph, the finches were just plain old showoffs.
