Spurwink River, Scarborough/Cape Elizabeth, Maine

A few years back they fixed the boat launch and added a dock to the Spurwink River bridge location off Rt 77. I've had really good luck there birding in the past, even seeing a Red Bellied Woodpecker this time in (but no pictures, he was moving too fast in the tree branches!). I'd like to take a canoe in there some day. 

An immature Goldeneye and a Bufflehead pair up for security reasons


I'm not sure what he kept bringing to the surface, but this guy wasn't going hungry!
