I know, this post is a little late but I wanted to make sure I got it out here for prosperity sake. Friday February 8th all the weather reporters were on fire reporting how these two storms were going to merge and dump us with up to 16", then 20 and then by Friday night they were calling for 30+. I was like - whatever, they've been so wrong before.
Well - there's egg on MY face. By the time it was all said and done, my area got hit with the highest of the Maine totals - a whopping 35". With blizzard conditions causing whiteouts and snow drifts aplenty, it was a miracle that we never lost power. We just hung low and made the best of it.
To our chagrin, it came a week too early for us to enjoy all that fluff for school vacation week.
