Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens trip - The Water Gardens

If you missed the beginning of this blog, check it out here: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - The Overview

After paying our dues we walked out the doors of the visitor's center and both of our jaws just dropped. The vast expanse of pathways and greenery were almost overwhelming. We sat on the bench and pulled out our little map and decided first stop was the "Garden of the Five Senses".

The Triassic Trout swim in a pond of greenery!

One lone Lady Slipper alongside the trail

I can't imagine what the roses look like here in full bloom!

The most fascinating whirlygig I've ever seen. I should have done a video!

The headless.... something

Stone flowers

Boys and Water

To clean you 'palate', these are to wash your hands after touching the herbs

Hackmatacs growing down through the arbor
