We were hit by a semi-substantial snowstorm on Friday, April 1st. I was seriously hoping it was an April Fools trick, but it wasn't. My birding listserve, on the other hand, has some serious pranksters on it. I digress.
The following morning the sun came out, it was around 50 degrees and everything started to melt. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the chickadees seriously checking out one of my birdhouses. They squabbled and chatted it over then flew off.
Perhaps they didn't like the flooring.
It's possible they didn't like the location.
Maybe they went to talk to their real estate agent about putting in an offer.
"Oh honey - let's stop and look at this one"
"Just right floor plan, good sized room - it's a little dirty, needs a good cleaning"
"I think it's perfect!"
"I'm headed to Blue Jay Real Estate!"
