Back in August (a little late posting, I know) for about two weeks I was entertained by huge flocks of Nighthawks in the evenings hunting for bugs and flying things in preparation of their trekk south. They were beautiful in the evening sky, the pictures do no justice. When the warm evening sunlight touched the white bars on their wings they stuck out like a sore thumb. Absolutely gorgeous. I wasn't going to post and figured why not.

Kerri - it was so neat to watch them flying around - they look like big bats, seriously!
